The islands

Les Vagues campsite is near the stunning Vendée islands which the department is best known for.

Ile de Noirmoutier

The island is connected to the continent by a bridge and the famous Passage du Gois, a 4km road leading to the mainland during low tide. Drive or cycle over this unique road in Europe, just pay attention to the tide times.

Ile d’Yeu

The island is ideal for bike rides by the fine sand beaches lined with pine trees. Its wild coast is listed as a “nature site” and its old château is famous for its fortress. The island’s vulnerable nature is protected and your outings will take you to extraordinary settings where protected plants and wildlife thrive.
